First Meet TOMORROW! And first donut friday
Parents,
Our first meet is tomorrow at home versus Big Ridge! We ask that you and your swimmers arrive no later than 4:15pm. We will warm-up promptly at 4:30pm, so please have them ready to go with caps and goggles then. If you are having trouble getting your child to the pool at this time, reach out to other parents as I have been told that several are willing to carpool children to the pool for the meet. We really need everyone at warm-ups to take attendance and adjust relays if we need to. Please remind your child and any family members coming to watch that your child must be within the sight of their gatherer for THE ENTIRE SWIM MEET. The gatherers are there to make sure that your child gets where they need to be for their race, but they are not babysitters and will not hunt your child down if they are not where they need to be. We do not want anyone to miss their race! Lastly, before leaving the meet afterwards please double check with a coach that your child is finished swimming and does not have any relays they need to swim. Additionally, at the end of the meet, if we win the kids get to push their coaches in the pool and thats always a fun time for them :) Before leaving your house for the meet, double check that you have your team suit, cap, goggles, and towel. Sunscreen and plenty of water is also a good idea!
Donut Friday:
Our first donut friday will be this friday! For our donut fridays, age groups take turns bringing in donuts to share with the team to celebrate all their hard work that week. This coming friday, practice will be 8-9am for ALL AGE GROUPS (no 9 and over dry land), and we will have a fun friday practice before having donuts.
This friday, 8 and under girls will bring donuts to share! If your swimmer is an 8 and under girl, please plan to bring donuts to share with the group. This can be whatever you want it to be; in the past we've had parents get a dozen from dunkin or krispy kreme or simply a package from the grocery store (I promise you the kids will enjoy them no matter where they are from).
Please reach out with any questions you may have! Thank you so so much for helping us have a successful first couple weeks of practice!
Erin
